Understanding Your ASVAB Scores

What is the AFQT?

The Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) is calculated from four ASVAB subtests: Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Mathematics Knowledge (MK), Paragraph Comprehension (PC), and Word Knowledge (WK). Your AFQT score is a percentile from 1-99 that determines your eligibility to enlist.

What are Line Scores?

Line scores are composite scores calculated from different combinations of ASVAB subtests. Each military job requires specific line scores. Higher line scores qualify you for more jobs and better enlistment bonuses.
